Dear prospective SSD20 participants, we received 300 exciting abstracts. THANK YOU!

Registration is now open!

We can still accept a few abstract submissions for poster presentation. Please note: both Oral and Poster presentations of authors registered to attend the Conference give right to submit the corresponding manuscripts for inclusion in the conference proceedings.

As you can read in the dedicated page, we have a confirmed lineup of outstanding invited conference speakers and school lecturers that will share their knowledge with us. We are finalizing agreements with our many sponsors who will be given a chance to present the science behind their technologies.

SSD20 Conference Overview

The University of Pisa is pleased to announce the 20th International Conference on Solid State Dosimetry, SSD20, which will be held at the Conference Center Principino in Viareggio (near Pisa) September 17-22, 2023.

This series of conferences began in 1965 at Stanford, USA, and since then has expanded its initial scope from luminescence dosimetry to the current variety of solid state processes and methods available for radiation dosimetry.

In 1995, the International Solid State Dosimetry Organization, ISSDO, was created to promote and assist in the organization of the triennial Solid State Dosimetry Conferences, ensuring their continuity. SSD20 will be the ninth conference of the series organized under the auspices and regulations of the ISSDO.
